This month, we are pleased to introduce three more members of the Rotherham Taylor team, so let’s get to know them a little better.

Having recently joined our team we have fired some questions at them, so you can learn more about their passions and expertise.

Emma Rawlinson – Manager

  • Favourite thing about the job: Getting to know clients and helping them improve their business operations.
  • Most challenging part of the job: Dealing with HMRC!
  • Greatest inspiration: A friend who has built her business over many years while facing significant personal challenges and caring for her elderly parents. Nothing seems to faze her and she continues to work hard despite many setbacks.
  • Something surprising: Emma used to do ballroom dancing when she was younger.
  • In the community: Emma is involved in a local Walk and Talk group that helps build friendships among residents.
  • Keeping active: She goes running a few times a week.

Varissa – Trainee

  • Favourite thing about the job: Constantly learning, working with businesses across a range of industries and developing new skills along the way.
  • Greatest inspiration: Her mum, as she is hardworking and compassionate and has been a great role model to her.
  • Something surprising: In her spare time, Varissa enjoys crocheting. She also likes reading and going to concerts whenever she can.
  • Keeping active: It might not strictly be a sport, but Pilates is her activity of choice.

Owen Ellis – Manager

  • Favourite thing about the job: Problem-solving and using analytics to find solutions for clients.
  • Most challenging part of the job: Managing tight deadlines, keeping every client feeling valued and staying up to date with constantly changing laws and regulations.
  • Greatest inspiration: His dad, who always offers the best support.
  • Something surprising: A keen concert-goer and traveller, Owen has been to Sweden and Italy to see favourite artists perform live.
  • Keeping active: A keen road cyclist, runner and gym-goer who aims to complete a half marathon every year and a loyal Manchester United supporter.

Our team are an essential part of our success at Rotherham Taylor. We are really excited to welcome Owen, Varissa and Emma, we are sure that they have successful careers ahead of them within our firm.
