We raised £1,470 for our Charity of the Year, Regenerage, at our latest charity quiz night.

Seventeen teams joined us at The Black Bull in Fulwood for an evening of hot food and friendly competition, while a well-stocked raffle helped to boost the final total.

We’re delighted with how the night went and would like to thank everyone who came along or donated a prize.

Raising so much for Regenerage is a fantastic result and it was brilliant to see so many familiar faces in the room.

Choosing Regenerage as our Charity of the Year was an easy decision for the team. The work it does for older people and their families across Lancashire makes such a difference.

Regenerage is based in Leyland and has been helping people to live and age well since 1980.

It supports people aged 55 and over, along with their families and carers, through services including befriending, adult day care, dementia support groups, help at home and advice on accessing benefits.

Much of its work focuses on reducing loneliness and isolation, helping older people to stay active and connected within their own communities.

Ann Beetham, Director of Fundraising & Corporate Sponsorship at Regenerage, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Rotherham Taylor, along with their clients, contacts, friends and family, for making the quiz night such a tremendous success.

“Raising an amazing £1,470 through an evening of fun, friendly competition and generosity will make a real difference to older people across Lancashire.

“On behalf of everyone at Regenerage, thank you for your continued support and commitment to helping us reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and enable people to age positively within their communities.”

A big thank you to DD Cooling, Taylors Estates, Allica Bank, Flower Bowl, Plumbs Preston, Education Business Partnership (NW) Ltd and Median Financial, along with Regenerage itself, for donating raffle prizes.

We’d also like to thank the clients, contacts, friends and family who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.

Well done to the winning team and to everyone who took home a prize on the night.
