We are always keen to highlight the terrific work that our clients do, and the team at The Foxton Centre have been doing some exciting things lately.

The Foxton Centre has been at the heart of Preston, providing support and opportunities that transform the lives of local young people and their families, homeless people, and vulnerable women for over half a century.

Last month, The Foxton Centre opened its £2 million Youth and Community Centre in Avenham.

The new centre takes the place of the one originally built by Reverend Brian Foxton in 1969 and will continue to serve the community with a fresh lease of life.

What makes the new centre truly special is that it was designed by the very young people for whom the centre operates.

The Youth Forum, comprising over 15 children, led the design work and shaped the full specification of the building from the layout and décor to the functionality and fittings of each room.

A mezzanine floor is the centrepiece of the new centre and provides the space to hold multiple indoor sessions at the same time.

Outdoor events and gatherings will be hosted on the first-floor balcony, and the new centre also has a dedicated gaming room, training room, and dance space.

To complement the new building, The Foxton Centre have also launched the Friends of Foxton campaign.

This initiative offers an outstanding opportunity for organisations to:

  • Leave a meaningful legacy by supporting life-saving services that reshape communities
  • Build valuable networks through events and campaigns that unite like-minded champions of social good
  • Demonstrate ESG leadership by aligning corporate values with tangible outcomes for local people
  • Unlock media and marketing opportunities, proudly showcasing a commitment to Preston’s social fabric

We are proud to continue supporting The Foxton Centre and would strongly encourage you to become a Friend of Foxton.
