Michael W. Barton, Chief Executive, BSc FCA, born in 1957, married with two sons, both in higher education.
A Graduate Psychologist as well as a Chartered Accountant.
Professional and civic engagements include: non-executive Director of Classical TV Ltd and Progress Housing Association, Deputy Chairman of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Investigation Committee and Chairman of the Re-admissions Committee. Past appointments include non-executive Director of DCD Media plc, an AIM listed TV and firm production business, Deputy Chairman of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Audit Registration Committee, past President of The North West Society of Chartered Accountants and Founder Trustee of the BOC Heritage Trust, a registered charity preserving the history of Bristol Cars.
Hobbies include Bristol Cars, fine art and wines.
Simon P.L. Cox, Director, Simon Cox BA FCCA enjoys supporting new and growing businesses in their formative years as well as providing valuable on-going support for the future. Simon has extensive experience of audit and Corporate tax issues as well as experience in Due Diligence matters covering Mergers and Acquisitions. He has helped new start up businesses raise finance and plan cash flow projections. Simon is Past President of the ACCA Lancashire and Cumbria Network Panel and is an active member of the ACCA Practitioners Panel in London. Simon is kept on his toes by his three young children, and enjoys playing golf.
Geoff Tabord, Office Manager, Preston, Geoff Tabord has over 30 years experience working with small business, in particular sole traders and partnerships. Geoff has two sons. In his spare time Geoff enjoys visiting heritage railways, walking, and supporting his local football team.
Nicola Hardy, Office Manager, Chorley. Nicola Hardy MAAT, FCCA, joined RT in 2003 and has over 20 years experience working in practice, including working with a wide range of sole traders, partnerships and audit clients, but in particular, works with small limited companies and personal tax clients. Nicola likes to spend time with her two children and enjoys swimming, reading and shopping, and is also Treasurer to her local school governors.
Rebecca Bradshaw BSc (Hons) ACA joined RT in 2005 as a trainee and qualified as an ACA in 2007. Rebecca is primarily based in the Preston office and predominately works with owner managed businesses in all aspects of accounting and tax compliance work. She enjoys working closely with clients to help them develop strategies for growth which are specific to their business. Outside of work Rebecca enjoys reading, attending gym classes and running.
Victoria Pickering BA (Hons) ACCA joined Rotherham Taylor in 2005 and qualified as an ACCA member in 2008. Since then Victoria has primarily worked with small limited companies and personal tax clients and enjoys working closely with clients on a regular basis. In her spare time, Victoria likes travelling, seeing live music concerts and attending the gym.
